The Best of 2025: Loren Gail Photography Awards

As this year comes to a close, I’ve found myself looking back through the hundreds of images I captured—tiny giggles, big hugs, windblown hair, wiggly toddlers, joyful reunions, golden-hour glows, and quiet, in-between moments that feel like a dream. And as I relive each session, one overwhelming feeling keeps coming up: gratitude.

This year has been one of my busiest and most joy-filled seasons yet, and it’s all because of you—my incredible clients, families, and friends who trusted me to capture your milestones, your chaos, your beauty, and your love. Whether we met for the first time this year or you’ve been with me for many seasons, I’m deeply honored to be part of your story. Every session is a privilege, and every image is a reminder of why I do what I do.

Your enthusiasm, your trust, your kindness, and your willingness to show up—sometimes with wrinkled shirts, mismatched socks, kids who skipped naps, or a dog who absolutely refused to look at the camera—made this year unforgettable. And the best part? You showed up with love. Real, imperfect, honest love. That’s what makes the images special. That’s what makes this job meaningful.

So from the bottom of my heart: thank you.

Sweetest Parents

I've been photographing these two since baby girl was in belly and yall, when I tell you they are the sweetest people you will ever meet I mean it. First, it was their love for one another, and now its their love for their beautiful baby girl. The love and sweetness just radiates out of them.

Cutest Chaos

Because lets be real, life with kids is a beautiful chaos that needs to be embraced. The best moments captured aren't the posed, prim and proper [although those are nice], but the best ones are the ones that are real- the personality, the silliness, the energy, the shyness- all the things that define childhood. We want the real, the honest, the chaos- this is what you'll want to remember one day.

Most Fun as a Third Wheel

When your couples session turns into the best third‐wheeling experience of the year and you are having so much fun you *almost* forget to take photos! Ashley and Mike are regulars now and have become dear, dear friends and it is always a blast getting to spend time with these sweet lovebirds.

Most Senior Girl Friends

I love when you tell your friends about me, and this year I got to take senior photos for three beautiful friends! Senior photos are always so fun. And yall...seniors these days are next level! Look how beautiful these girls are!

Most Pinterest Worthy Outfits

picking out what to wear for your session can be hard [i do send out a style guide with all my tips and tricks to look best in your session] but yall are always impressing me with your outfits! There were so many this year but I had to go with the maples family because just look at those suspenders *heart eyes* I love the boho, the florals, the mauve, the ruffles, its all just so good!

Sweetest Siblings

I have three kids and "sweet siblings" is not how I would describe them LOL They have their moments but mostly i want to rip my hair out from all the bickering. so i don't know how your precious little honeys act at home but at sessions i get to see lots of sweetness! And these sisters were just darling!!!!

Most Liked on Socials

I feel like a grandma when it comes to social media. lots of sessions don't even make it to the grid- 2026 goals- but its always fun to look back and see what's got the most love. and this year it was by far my session with anson and victoria! Their session was one of my favorites- they were down for anything, wildly in love and so fun to adventure with!

Biggest Sweetheart

I've had the joy of photographing this cutie for a few years now and she is just the absolute sweetest. she has always been so adorable with her mom and dad and you can just feel the love that fills their home. it is so fun watching her grow up- grow into herself- all while still sweet as can be <3

Most Life Changing

Okay that feels dramatic but it's true. This family showed up to their snowy session, we hit it off immediately, and they are now some of our favorite people. We adore them and in a city where we have struggled to find our Homeschool community- it was a breath of fresh air to find some of our people.

Best Hair

I mean do I need to say anything more? They could be models in a shampoo commercial.

Most Inspiring

This beautiful friend decided it was time to celebrate herself in a way she never had before. And witnessing that choice, that boldness, that ownership of her body and her story… it was nothing short of inspiring. IT'S AN HONOR WHEN A FRIEND TRUSTS ME TO PHOTOGRAPH THEM IN SUCH A VULNERABLE AND MEANINGFUL WAY.

Most Romantic

I'm always happy to have clients return, and this year when ava and max showed up to their session they had big news...they were engaged!!! It was so fun getting to capture this special time for them and I am so excited for their future!!

Cutest Pup

fur babies are always allowed at your session! and this cute pup was so adorable and sweet and so friendly.

Cutest Props

You don't see many props around here, but a one year milestone is the perfect time to bring out the props!! And Gah how cute are these balloons and basket! I've had the joy of celebrating this precious girl since she was just a peanut in her mama's belly and celebrating her turning one was the cherry on top!

Most Special

This wedding will hold a special place in my heart—not just because it was beautiful, emotional, and the mom of a childhood friend, but because I don’t photograph weddings often. Stepping into a wedding day feels like stepping into a sacred chapter of someone’s life, and being trusted with that responsibility is something I never take lightly.

Capturing the vows, the tears, the laughter, the tiny in-between moments… it was truly an honor. . A rare gift—and one I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of.

Biggest Surprise

I was surprised big time, not once, but TWICE this year! I had two of my regulars book fall sessions and SURPRISE there was another baby in the bunch! Wild how much can chance in a year! It was so special to meet the newest additions and watch my families grow <3

Most Energy

The energy this family brought to their session was ABSOLUTELY unmatched- the perfect combination of chaos, laughter and love. The ideas were flowing, the excitement was there and it was a blast getting to capture their love!

Favorite Photo

I snapped a few photos of this HS senior with her boyfriend during her senior session and I just love how they all came out. Young love is just so sweet!
