happiness comes in waves
Like those peaceful waves in Naples, Florida. My grandparents lived here when I grew up and so I spent a lot of time down here. And it was easily my favorite place. When Harrie and I got married we actually honeymooned here before my family sold our place. So once my kids were old enough, it was at the top of my list to take them here- commence, summer vacay in Naples, Florida!
A week before our trip I decided I wanted to go blonde for the beach...oh man, if I could go back and tell myself "DONT DO IT!!!" LOL I went through like five boxes, FIVE! And it was an awful orange mess. Good thing I got to wear my big floppy sun hats all week HA
We spent the week bouncing between the pool and the beach and ordering doordash- it was a DREAM. I could not have asked for a better vacation! My parents, sister and niece joined us down there and we all had a blast. The days felt long, but in the good kind of way. The weather was perfect and we spent all our days outdoors. Every night I would make sure to get to the beach to watch the sunset. I wasn't sure if I would be as fearless in the ocean as I once was, but for the most part, I was. I would swim out and watch the sun go down as I floated in my favorite waters. It was so good for me. I'm thankful for the trip and itching to go back!
I definitely wanted to do family photos on the beach. It was mandatory for mine lol but I made it optional for my parents, sister and niece. And I'm so glad they opted in! If you ever get to go on a vacation, I definitely recommend getting photos done!
