5 reasons why you should book an extended family session
My family means the world to me and the relationships within are so special to me. My oldest son adores my mother to pieces- that's something I want captured; my squishy little niece is now a full on teenager and wow has that happened fast- that's something I want captured; my love for my in laws- that's something I want captured; my kids and all their aunts and uncles- that's something I want captured; the list goes on and on. I try to take my extended family photos once a year. Sometimes it's special- like at the beach we grew up visiting, sometimes it's at my brother's house before we have family brunch, whatever it is- we try to make it happen! And I know these will be some of my family's most treasured possessions for years to come.
1| An All In One Session
At an extended family session you get all the photos! Not only do we take photos of the entire family together, but we do all the combinations- family units, cousins, girls, boys, grandparents, couples, etc. It's an amazing way for EVERYONE to get photos in one fell swoop.
2| The Legacy
Family is everything. The kids may be young now, but these moments captured with their family will be so precious to them when they are grown. I don't have many photos with my grandparents, but one I do have is framed and up in my living room. There is something about the generations and the connections within that is strong and beautiful and worth capturing- for you now, but especially for the years to come.
3| The Connections
Often we overlook the connections within our extended family, but oh how special they are! My kids have an uncle they call "Pickle Man" because of a bright green hat he wears- they stinking love him and this is something I want them to remember- I want to remember it. As they get older relationships will change, maybe they will get closer or maybe distance will grow; that's why it's so important to capture it all. My personal favorite connection to capture is the grandparents and their grandkids- there is just nothing like it!

My goal is to have all my photo sessions be a fun experience for your family. Extended family sessions can be especially fun because its a different experience than what you might normally do! There will definitely be laughs and new memories made! And its a GREAT reason to get the whole family together!!
